The Town of Meeteetse has provided this section of online forms to make it easier for our Town patrons and customers to find it easier to complete any necessary information for the Town. Some forms for our services are not available online, but information is available below. Animal Licenses

When you have a new pet, you must bring in its vaccination information for the new animal. You are required to license any new animals within the limits of Town of Meeteetse.

The fee for animal license is the following:

  • $3.00 per spayed/neutered animal
  • $25.00 per non-spayed/neutered animal

Animal Licenses expire December 31st every year. Please be sure to come in and license your animal and update vaccination information when applicable.

Building Permits

Building permits are required for any new additions made to property within the limits of Town of Meeteetse. These additions include, but are not limited to, new fencing, house additions, new houses, garages, sheds, porches and decks.

BEFORE you begin to build, you are REQUIRED to fill out the form online or come in to the Town Hall to complete the form and pay the fee. The form has to be reviewed and approved BEFORE work may start.

You are REQUIRED to submit a drawing of the work according to setback requirements to be completed with the completed form and payment to the Town Hall. The completed information will be presented to the Town Council and the Mayor of Meeteetse to be reviewed and approved before work is to be completed.

The fee for building permits is the following:

  • $10.00 for projects valued up to $5,000.00
  • Any building permits for projects valued over $5,000.00 will be priced according to the fee schedule (add link)

Contractor Agreement​

Any contracting business applying for a business license within the Town of Meeteetse must complete the Contractor Agreement as well.

Deer/Turkey Archery Permit​

Ordinance Changes-Allow Archery Hunting only in Town Limits in specific locations, must have a valid hunting license for Deer- Hunting Areas- 116 and 165, Turkey- Hunting Areas- 4

Excavation Permit

Before anyone is to excavate within the Town of Meeteetse, the excavator is REQUIRED to complete the excavation permit (link above) and pay the fee. The permit will then be presented to the Town Council and the Mayor of Meeteetse to be reviewed and approved before the work is to begin.

The fee for excavation permits is the following:

  • $10.00 for each excavation project

NOTE: when applying for an excavation permit, you must also provide proof of liability insurance up to $500,000.00

Potable Water

The Town of Meeteetse offers potable water that may be hauled from our Water Fill Station on Water Street. The water can be retrieved and paid for with a pre-paid account or credit card for your ease. Stop in at the Town Hall to find out more about this service!

Rodeo Grounds Usage

The Town of Meeteetse has a contract that must be completed before using the Rodeo Grounds. If you have any information about the Rodeo Grounds, please contact the Town Hall.

The fee for Rodeo Grounds Usage is the following:

Daily Use

  • $25/day up to 25 head- 25+ $1 per head
  • 1000.00 damage/cleaning deposit 25+ head

Event Use

  • User will pay $100/event fee for use of facility
  • 1000.00 deposit
  • $25 electric use fee/ $10 breaker reset fee

RV Dump Station

The Town of Meeteetse offers a RV dump station on Water Street. There is no fee to use our RV dump station, but donations are greatly appreciated.

Tent Rental

The Town of Meeteetse offers tent rentals for special occasions to residents and non-residents of Meeteetse. We have two tents available for rental.

  • Yellow and White Tent - 30’ x 50’
  • Red and White Tent - 30’ x 50’

These tents are rented out on a first come, first serve basis. You are welcome to call and reserve the tent(s) ahead of time for your occasion​.

The fee for Tent Rental is the following:

Residents of Meeteetse:

  • $500.00 deposit
  • $100.00 per day
  • $25.00 supervision fee
  • Please Note: The deposit MUST be submitted at time of tent pick up. The charge of the tent rental MUST be submitted no later than the day the tent is returned.

Non-Residents of Meeteetse:

  • $500.00 deposit
  • $250.00 per day
  • $25.00 supervision fee
  • Please Note: The deposit MUST be submitted at time of tent pick up. The charge of the tent rental MUST be submitted no later than the day the tent is returned.

It is easiest to transport the tent(s) with a trailer as the poles are long. If you see any damage to the tent, please take pictures of the damage so we can record it.

  • DO NOT PUT THE TENT AWAY WET. THIS CAN CAUSE THE TENT TO MOLD.
  • DO NOT RETURN THE TENT IN DIRTY CONDITIONS - YOUR DEPOSIT CHECK WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO YOU.

Utility Services

The Town of Meeteetse offers water, sewer and garbage services to the residents of Meeteetse. Before your services will be offered to you, you are REQUIRED to complete the Services Application at the Town Hall and pay the necessary fee. The connect fee will be put onto your first water bill.

The fee for Town of Meeteetse Utility Services Application is the following:

  • $25.00 Connect fee (Will be placed on your first bill)
  • $150.00 Utility Deposit (Can be waived with a 12 month letter of credit/reference).

Vendor Permit

A vendor permit is required for any out-of-town vendors wishing to sell their goods within the Town of Meeteetse. The Vendor Permits will be distributed from the Town Hall. Any vendor’s request will be reviewed approval by the Town Council. The sooner the request for a Vendor Permit is submitted, the easier it is to be approved.

The fee for a Vendor Permit is the following:

  • $5.00 per day

The payment has to be sent to the Town Hall before we distribute the permits.
